The Key to Time Management

Are we just too busy?!
Nowadays, life is in a state of perpetual hectic movement.

There's so many things that we have to do and the things we actually want to do or even should do, get left to the side and it's always for the exact same reason..."I don't have enough time."

Growing up most of us have dreamed of having a house, a car and a family of our own.
Now when we actually get to the time of that being a reality; we're always working, so the only time we spend in our houses is to sleep and get ready for work again, the main use of our car is not to go for a pleasant drive and take in the surrounding scenery, but so we don't get to work late...and the family...that reality we have dreamed about for so long of having the perfect partner and raising children we are proud of...well...we no longer have anytime to see them or spend quality time with them.

I know there is many of you who have reluctantly had to say to your partner or kids, "I'm sorry, not now...I have work to do."

I want to make sure that you have to say that less and less over time and eventually, not have to say it at all!

Eradicate Excess
This perceived lack of time that we suffer with is less about what are doing daily and more about what we are refusing to say no to.
It's the things that manage to get on to our schedules that are not important, not urgent and not even relevant to us.

How do things manage to get on our schedule that are not even relevant to us?!

Well, you have to start becoming more critical about what you have on your to do list and ruthlessly eradicate excess from your life!

80% of our results come from 20% of our actions...It's called the Pareto Principle...this means that there is a whole lot of junk that we are doing each day that is taking up huge volumes of time but not actually adding any sustainable or comparable benefits in accordance to how much time it takes to complete the task.

Action Plan
To break this cycle we are going to make an action plan of practical things we are going to do from now on to move forward and create more and more freedom for ourselves and our families in the future!

First, you must continue to write out goals as we need to know the specified outcome we would like to achieve!

What we do is always based on an emotional attachment of what we would like to achieve; whether it's success, avoidance of fear, entertainment or rest....we first need to make sure that the outcome that our actions are geared towards is success.

Make a list of what you believe you have to get done that day to make significant progress and steps towards your goal and write it down.

Writing down both your goals and your to do list is important...by doing this you are making an emotional investment in the process, as well as visualising and internalising it.

From there, you have to get super critical and start eradicating anything that is not absolutely necessary!

To make this easier, use a criteria of finding the things that will have the biggest impact (the 80%) and eradicate the rest.
Find the things that will make the biggest steps towards your goals and the things that will have the longest lasting effect going forward...this will save you time in the future, which is another big part of the process.

Anything that someone else can do, can learn to do and is willing to do...delegate the task to them and save your own time!
This also goes for anything that can be automated by machines and technology...they were built for us to have easier lives, not for us to be constantly working on them so we have no time for ourselves!

Bring Balance in to your Life

It's difficult to consistently stay at the top of your game.

The rpm that we have to work at sometimes is ridiculously high and even the most hard working successful people have the feeling that sometimes they just need a rest...a little time to reflect and bring everything back into perspective .

I remember vividly a time where I was balancing full time work, leading a team of sales people, intense gym workouts, language courses and conversing with language partners when I got back plus studying areas of personal growth everyday whenever I could fit in time to read books or listen to audiobooks...and repeating the same routine everyday up until the point where I completely burnt out.

Burn out is definitely no fun, you cannot think straight, cannot control your emotions, you don't feel like eating, you are always tired but when it comes to bedtime you can't sleep...your body basically shuts down.

Balance
So I want everyone to find a balance in their life and find a routine that is sustainable for the long term but is also focused on consistent growth!

The main thing you need to remember in bringing balance in to your life is to remember every single day to do something that is solely for you.

We all need some of that precious me time, it is valuable and after all the hard work you put into your days it is verily deserved

Get in touch with yourself and carve out time for a hobby that you really love but have fell out of touch with because life got too hectic and busy.

If you love sports make sure that there is time for you to play sports if not everyday of the week then most days of the week and make sure that you schedule this first!

You should always find time for your work and get what you need to get done finished and if you are serious about progressing then you will find time to get things done.

The problem is that when we get so focused on what work has to be finished and creating and manifesting our dreams, we forget ourselves.
So if we schedule in the me time first as a must then we will find it much easier to reach a point of balance in our life and develop a solid routine of sustainable growth!

Stay tuned for my up and coming eBook which will break things down in detail like never before!

Focus on Results

Growing up playing sports or competing in athletics there was an importance placed on winning, as is the objective of competition in the first place.

Parents or school teachers may have once or twice told you that it's the taking part that counts...but we all know that that is as close to rubbish as rubbish can be...unless if you are doing a marathon for charity or a good cause, then the taking part truly is the reward.

Failing that...We're here to get some results!

We're here to win right?!

Well let's get scientific about this and see how to make sure we are doing the right things on a consistent basis to make sure we are achieving results and winning at life.

Mentality
Ready for a big game and the coach is with you all in the locker room giving you the tactics of how you plan to go about your game plan and exploit weaknesses...but most importantly the coach is making lots of noise and regaling an inspiring story in the hope to get everybody motivated, active and energised.

The coach knows that this game is 80% mindset...The coach knows you can go out the underdogs and come back victorious with the right mindset and the highest level of work rate that you can possibly muster from yourselves.

This is his go to plan, to make sure your mindset is correct more so than your technical ability or talent.

Starting out with the right mentality is absolutely vital...I don't just mean to think positive.
You need to think positive, however you need to have a deep seeded belief that you can go out there and win at life, succeed in anything and everything that you attempt and most importantly you need to have the mindset that above all else..."The game is not over until you win!"

Having the mindset that you will never ever give up is probably the most important things in achieving.

In sports this mentality can actually scare the life out of the opposition causing them to crumble and you win purely on mentality...you win because your mentality is so strong, so definite and so right in action that you psychologically dominate the opponent.

Mike Tyson used to do this regularly in the ring...when the boxers cam to touch gloves he would stare down his opponent relentlessly, while chewing or making a grinding motion with his mouth.
He said that as soon as he saw so much as a flicker in the opponents eyes, that was the point where he knew he had him...he was rarely wrong about this!

Map out the territory
When you start out you will want to see how things are done in this new arena you are planning to enter...you want to see the rules of this jungle, assess how things are done here and how the people at the top of the hierarchy got there and just as important, how they stay there!

Learning from the greats is something that is advisable to all, as there is no need to reinvent the wheel when it already works perfectly well...instead first learn how to make the wheel and then from there you can transform it into something new and unique of your own design.

Find out the best tested methods to go about your new task as this will save a lot of time in the future...you will undoubtedly have to go through trials and tribulations along the way no matter what, but to save on the amount would be very wise.
Not everything that you learn from others may work for you, so in turn learn to decipher what to take on and what to leave...but test each method thoroughly first.

Time to Review
It is a great idea to keep a log/diary of exactly what you have done each day as this will be the facts and figures which will tell no lies.

Your perception of how your day went is one thing...but if you write down exactly how the day went, what happened, what you did and what results you achieved...you will be able to accurately review exactly how things went.

Most importantly, on the days where you have had good days, you will now be able to measure those days up to the things that you actually did, making it clear to you what actually works, compared to what you think works or what people say works.

On the contrary you will also be able to note the bad days and reassess what didn't work and drop it completely...however be sure to note patterns and not just have one good day and say this works or one bad day and drop something that you have not yet perfected.

Review your week at the end of every week and review it again at the end of every month and you will be shocked to see the progress you have made and also the sheer amount of information you have at hand available for you to use in accelerating your growth.
Focus on results!

Close to a Breakthrough

Whatever endeavor we have decided to undertake there is levels to it and we have to understand how each level is going to effect us, how to navigate through these levels of growth and how to be ready to propel yourself to lasting growth and have a breakthrough, busting through one plateau after another.

Preparation
If you are starting out on a new venture or thinking of starting out on a new venture then it is very important that some preparation is done before hand and you are some what informed of how you plan to go about it.

For example if you plan to go about setting up an online business; if you have never done it before, it is logical that you will not automatically know what you are doing, or even how long it will take for you to start seeing a financial return.
However it is vital for you to at least have a primary idea of how you plan to go about starting the business, what it is going to be about and how you plan to go forward and make it unique.

Write down whatever it is that you plan to achieve...exactly how you are going to achieve it is not necessary, because you cannot know exactly how things will plan out along the way of any new venture...just outline a few of your first intended steps.

Visualising your future is necessary if you want to manifest your dreams, you have to be able to see it vividly and in colour in your mind first before anything can happen.
So, now that you have written things down you can now begin to visualise it in your mind, the way you want things to plan out and be sure to re-read your plans and goals at regular intervals...twice a day at least, so you are planting your ideas and your vision deep into your subconscious mind which is what will ultimately guide you to your destination.

Everything that has ever been created has been visualised in the mind before the person created it.

Action
There is going to be much action needed to realise your goals once you have set them out and have an idea of how you are going to go about achieving them.
This is the stage where the preparation and visualisation stops and you just act...taking the first step in any new venture is probably the most important part as this is where you will begin to generate some momentum.

I'm sure all of us have had the similar experience of being at the swimming pool and dipping our toe in and realising that the water feels so cold and we just keep dipping our toe hoping that it will make it easier to get in...when in fact the best way to handle the cold is to just jump in and get your body used to the cold as quick as possible.

Take this same analogy and use it in all your future endeavors and press on with anything you're thinking of doing.

The fear that you will feel is just a temporary invention of the mind to try and describe something that it does not yet know or understand...realise that the only way you can truly know and understand how a situation will pan out is to go forward and make things happen and also that the end result is almost entirely down to you.

If you never give up there is no way that you can fail.
Temporary failures along the way are normal, however these are just learning curves to let you know what needs to be done next time to make sure you are one step closer to realising your dreams.

If you are wishing to make big things happen, then it is vital that in turn you take big big action to make these things happen.

The effort you put in has to match the vision you have for yourself and even surpass the dream that you have for yourself.

It is always going to be a more difficult than we first imagine...that is why it is key to be doing something that you love...because working on creating a dream life for yourself is not work, no matter how many obstacles and difficulties you have to surpass.

The act of turning what you love into a profession and even a way of life should be fun, entertaining and exciting!

Close to a Breakthrough
The thing about life is that sometimes no matter how prepared you are, no matter how well you know the field or industry and no matter how long you have been doing this for...life is going to throw you a curve ball.

It will seem like it's come completely out of nowhere and it will also seem like it's for no reason at all...as if life just wanted to play a practical joke on you, saying, "let's see how you deal with this one then."

In these situations absolutely everything that can go wrong...will go wrong...believe me!

However, what I'm about to tell you will change everything and completely change the way you look at situations like this in the future, enabling you to better handle situations like this and move forward with a smile and a skip in your step.

The times where everything is going wrong always happens just before a breakthrough...always...It's as if life is sort of testing you to see if you are ready to tackle the next level of the video game.

If anyone has ever played Sonic, you remember you can't just go to the next level without defeating Dr Robotnic.

The difficulties you will face along your journey when they all pile up at once from out of nowhere are Dr Robotnic testing you to see if you are ready for your breakthrough, to see if you are ready to take it up a notch and press on into the next gear.

Therefore knowing this you must stay calm...take a couple deep breaths, bring yourself back to center and see it for what it is...push through the storm while it lasts and most importantly stay positive and don't you dare give up!

You are at a crucial time in your development and now is the time to go and get your rewards for all the hard work you have done so far.

Success and Money!!

Where it all began
I've definitely been in a phase of my life where I believed money was absolutely everything.

I thought that with money; I could buy happiness, the love of a good woman, a family, health, as well as all the toys and trinkets such as houses, cars and holidays.

People tried to convince me otherwise but I had the blinkers firmly attached and earplugs in tight, reasoning that every celebrity in the world must be extremely happy and have deep inner peace...not because they are following their path and manifesting what they have dreamed about from a relatively young age, but simply because they had money...and lots of it.

If you asked me 3 to 5 years ago what the key to happiness was...my answer probably would have been relatively simple...get as much money as possible and then you can buy lots of stuff...show off to women and this will in turn bring you happiness.

How naive and wrong I was.

I'm sure that I don't need to remind any of you of the multiple stories of celebrity drug abuse and sex scandals as they desperately try to fill a gaping hole that still resides within them that the money is never going to fill.

That is not to say that all people with money, celebrities and otherwise are unhappy...just the ones that have gone about attaining the money for all the wrong reasons.

We all have families and responsibilities that we have to look after and money is a part of doing that so I applaud anybody who is prioritizing looking after their own...it is a truly noble intention.

However, what most of us aren't taught in this consumerism society is that money is not what defines success...it is a byproduct of becoming successful.

Therefore our ambitions and intentions should be to become successful...not to look towards getting lots and lots of money.

So, what is success?!
Success can be defined in many different ways depending on who you're talking to.
Different people see different things as success...however if money is the main definition of success then I believe you need to reassess your definition.

It can however be tied down to set principles.

I would define success as doing what you love...living a life of your own design...gaining knowledge of self...cultivating the gifts you were born with and sharing them with the world, which will also tie into living your life in accordance to your dreams and passions.

Most importantly, I would define success as building your life around what you love.

When you live your life in accordance to these principles, you cannot fail to achieve success and in addition to that, you also cannot fail to attain money as it is a byproduct of becoming a successful person.

You just need to make sure that money is not the primary goal...as that is a sure-fire way to lead you to an empty existence.

Money will not provide you with that feeling deep inside your heart that you get when you are travelling the journey on the way to your dreams and finally beginning to see the realisation of what you've always wanted to do being manifested.

All money will do is buy you trainers and cars to get there.

You will begin to earn money relative to the amount of lives you're impacting.

So therefore work on your craft...develop skill in executing your passions...live your dream and build your life around what you love...money will come anyway...but your dream comes first!!

Know that you deserve it!!

To realise your dreams a transformation must take place!

You have to take that first step and travel the unfamiliar path and in doing so the person you become is what will bring you the fruits of all that you desire.

We all have a past.

For some of us, our past is still the thing that is holding us back and standing in the way of us realising our wildest dreams.

Your past is not the sole defining factor of who you are as a person today!

Everything I have been through in terms of how I was raised, where I grew up, who I spent the most time with and the situations and experiences I've had as a child and growing up all the way up until now have had an impact on the person I am today.

I've had a less savoury past, hard times and trials and tribulations, however my past does not define me and it certainly does not confine me.

You have to come to that realisation that you deserve it, that you deserve the very best out of life and as of yet if you have not made the decision to go out and get yours then it's time to do just that!

At first it's going to be scary and feel like unknown territory as when you fully commit and decide to take the leap into building your whole life around what you love and living life on your own terms....then it's now on you.

However that's the beautiful thing, that it's all on us!
Failure and Success all lies with us and the only way you can fail is by giving up...if you do not stop Success is assured.

So what I want you to do is take today to really decide exactly what you want your life to be...decide what it is that you love and the life you refuse to be without...then write it down...this part is important!

Now take that time to fully realise that this is what you deserve by reading it over and over again until it is fully internalised.
Read it in the morning everday then read it again before you go to bed.

Take just a short moment to remember the times when you had it hard and life wasn't so easy...if you are in those times when life is hard now then the same applies take just a short moment to look at things how they are now...then completely change your focus!

Envelop yourself in your dream and make that your sole focus from now on...you're going to use your dream as the rope to pull you up out of the ocean of rocky times you currently find yourself in and take a big breath to realise that you deserve the best of what life has to offer and then go and get it full force!

Build your life around what you love!

Nothing can stand in your way because you deserve it!!
